Agrarians of the Saratov region have completed sowing early spring crops

To date, on May 17, 61% of the planned area in the Saratov region has been sown, which is 1,732 thousand hectares. Sowing of grain crops has already been completed by 85%, and early grain crops have already been sown on 845 thousand hectares. In addition, the area under crops such as durum wheat, peas and lentils increased by 5-15% compared to last year. Planting of late grain crops such as millet, buckwheat, corn and sorghum continues.

Industrial crops have already been sown on 50% of the planned area, and vegetable crops on 58% (8.6 thousand hectares). In vegetable farms, potato planting is being completed on 96% of the planned area (7.3 thousand hectares). Subject to favorable weather conditions, sowing is planned to be completed before June 1.
