Red lentils – successfully adapt to various climatic conditions and are cultivated in many regions of Russia, including the Volga region, the Central part, the Volga republics and Siberia.
Altai, Saratov and Omsk regions are leaders in terms of sown areas, and these regions create a powerful base for the development of Russian lentil production. The bulk of processing and production of finished products is concentrated in the Siberian and Volga Federal Districts. This helps optimize logistics chains and creates favorable conditions for innovation in the industry.
The development of red lentil cultivation in Russia opens up prospects for diversifying agriculture, strengthening the country’s food security and expanding the export potential of the agro-industrial complex.
