On February 17, the international food exhibition Gulfood 2025, the largest event in its industry, which annually attracts thousands of participants from all over the world, started in Dubai (UAE). This year, more than 5 thousand companies from 120 countries are represented at the exhibition, and the number of visitors is approaching 100 thousand.

The Saratov region was represented at the exhibition by the Astarta-Agrotrading company, part of the Oleonafta holding of businessman Stanislav Neveinitsyn. This is the only company from the Volga Federal District whose products were presented on such a large-scale international platform.

Astarta-Agrotrading specializes in the cultivation, processing and sale of grain and oilseeds. At the exhibition, the company presented chickpeas, safflower and lentils - crops that are in high demand in the Middle East. The company’s stand was visited by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Oksana Lut, who inquired about the prospects for the grain harvest in the Saratov region and discussed the export potential of the region with the company’s management.

Participation in Gulfood 2025 brought results already on the first day. The company held negotiations with business representatives from several countries in the Middle East interested in supplying products from the Saratov region.

«Астарта-Агротрейдинг» активно участвует в крупных международных и федеральных выставках. Last year, the company entered into agreements on barter supplies of agricultural products to the Middle East. Today the company owns more than 10 thousand hectares of farmland, five elevators with a total capacity of 260 thousand tons, a pier for loading grain and production lines for processing chickpeas and safflower.

The company plans to create a customs and logistics hub in Engels on the basis of the Leader technology park, as well as launch a mill with a daily processing capacity of 100 thousand tons.

In addition, Astarta-Agrotrading intends to strengthen not only business, but also cultural ties with partners from Middle Eastern countries. As part of this initiative, it is planned to open a Center for Friendship with the Countries of the Middle East in the Rubin business center.

Participation in Gulfood 2025 confirms the company’s status as one of the key players in the international agricultural market and opens up new prospects for exporting products from the Saratov region.
