Saratov grain growers threshed over 3 million tons of grain

According to information provided by the regional Ministry of Agriculture, more than 3 million tons of grain were threshed in the Saratov region. This figure was reached on August 8, and the yield was about 26.9 centners per hectare.

The Saratov region occupies one of the leading places in terms of grain collection and harvesting speed in the entire Volga Federal District. Rivne district leads with 76.9% of harvested areas, followed by Piterka (69.9%), Krasny Kut (63.1%) and Ivanteyevka (62.3%).

A total of 1,144.9 thousand hectares were processed, which is 49% of the plan. Balashovsky and Samoilovsky districts became leaders in the volume of grain collected, collecting 187.7 thousand and 156.3 thousand tons, respectively. Pugachevsky and Ershovsky districts also showed impressive results, threshing 191.3 thousand tons of grain.
