Including 2.2 thousand hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops, 1.7 thousand hectares of spring technical crops, and 0.2 thousand hectares of spring forage crops. Potatoes were planted on 80 hectares, vegetable crops - 105 hectares. Harrowing of black fallow plowed land was carried out on an area of 783.8 thousand hectares. Deliveries of mineral fertilizers are carried out within the framework of shipment schedules. Taking into account the volumes purchased last fall, the Saratov region already has 129 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, or 120% of last year’s level, including 90.5 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers.—The structure formed this year, combined with the optimal timing of field work, will make it possible to produce 4.4 million tons of grain, 1.8 million tons of sunflower oil seeds, 366 thousand tons of sugar beets, as well as potatoes - 138.7 thousand tons, vegetables and melons - 367.2 thousand tons, - commented the Minister of Agriculture of the Saratov Region Roman Kovalsky.
