A million tons of sunflowers were harvested in the Saratov region

At the moment, more than a million tons of sunflower have been harvested in the Saratov region. According to the governor’s press service, this is the leading indicator in the Volga Federal District and one of the highest results in the country.

 Leaders in harvesting: Kalininsky, Ekaterinovsky, Arkadaksky, Perelyubsky, Samoilovsky, Rtishchevsky, Pugachevsky, Balashovsky, Ivanteevsky municipal districts.

 “Our region is one of the leaders in Russia in the collection of sunflower seeds. Thanks to the efforts of farmers, residents are provided with food products. The Saratov region is actively increasing the volume of processing of raw materials, and this is the added value of finished products, additional jobs. Many thanks to agricultural workers for their dedication and professionalism", - said the governor of the Saratov region Valery Radaev.
