Since the beginning of the harvesting campaign, grain growers in the region have collected 5 million 964 thousand tons of grain. 2040 thousand hectares of cultivated area have been threshed, which is 92% of the plan.
In the Balashovsky district, 372 thousand tons were threshed, in Pugachevsky - 363 thousand tons, in Kalininsky and Ekaterinovsky - 338 thousand tons and 334 thousand. tons respectively.
More than 250 thousand tons were collected by farmers of the Ershovsky district, more than 200 thousand tons - by the Krasnokutsky, Perelyubsky, Samoilovsky, Arkadaksky and Engelssky municipal districts.
The year turned out to be fruitful. For example, the grain harvest, which to date has been collected by farmers in Novouzensky, Dergachevsky, Ozinsky, Perelyubsky, St. Petersburg and other districts of the south-eastern zone of the region, is twice as large as last year’s harvest.
